The task was to re-launch the Volvo C30, positioning it as a sporty compact car for design-focused drivers. Working with a small budget, we wanted to attract attention and excitement beyond the paid advertising space. If you want to attract designers, what could be better than becoming a design? We decided to play with exterior design of the C30, and came up with 20 colorful, expressive adhesive films. Customers order these as an accessory when purchasing their C30. In addition to TV and print ads, the campaign centerpiece was an interactive site for experimenting with the different films.
